Vexillum roseum (Broderip, 1836)
14.9mm

Vexillum roseum is uncommon, usually found under rocks on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs at depths of about 5 to 23m. It comes in a couple of color forms.

This is thought to be juvenile coloration.

The shell characteristics of the specimen below matched Vexillum roseum. However, at 27.85mm in length, it is much larger than the many other shells we have seen. This empty shell was found in rubble at a depth of 58m on the seaward reef.
