We have only rarely seen Haliotis ovina in the Marshall Islands. We have one empty shell from Kwajalein Atoll from the seaward reef that measured 44.3mm and one other at 34.7mm. We saw several slightly larger individuals under rocks in a seaward reef quarry right off the marine lab at Enewetak Atoll in the early 1980s. Three separate living shells from Enewetak are figured below.
