Strigatella nigricans
(Pease, 1865)
22.0mm
Strigatella
nigricans is moderately
rare at Kwajalein, with occasional specimens seen on lagoon reefs, pinnacles
and seaward reefs, under rocks at depths of about 3 to 20m. The World
Register of Marine Species lists this as a synonym of Strigatella luctuosa,
but some experts on the Mitridae consider the two species separate.
