Moerchiella cf dorbignyi (Adams, 1853)

This is similar to the one we are calling Moerchiella dorbignyi, but the ID remains tentative. The two species differ in shell color as well as the extent of thin spiral cords on the later whorls. The empty shell immediately below was brought up in a sediment sample from about 61m on the seaward reef. The juvenile living shell below was under a rock on a shallow lagoon reef.
