Turbo setosus Gmelin, 1791
76.9mm
Turbo
setosus is common at Kwajalein, but lives almost exclusively on the seaward
intertidal reef flat, extending a slight bit into the subtidal at the outer
edge of the reef. Rarely specimens have been seen on the shallow tops of large
midlagoon pinnacles.

The thick calcareous operculum trap door of Turbo setosus is sightly
rough and pure white.
