Eucithara
cf gracilis (Reeve, 1846)
15.95mm
These
are similar to the ones we are calling Eucithara
gracilis but have a single brown spiral line and less pointed shoulders
on the spire whorls. They were found under rocks on lagoon pinnacles and on
the seaward reef, or on silty sand in small caves on the reef slope, at depths
of about 16-20m. Empty shells were also brought up in sand samples from as deep
as 61m on the seaward slope.
