A single empty shell was brought up in a sand sample from about 55m on the seaward reef. This looks quite similar to the figure in gastropods.com of Nepotilla minuta, but that species' distribution is listed as Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, as well as Taiwan, and it doesn't seem like a cold temperate species should extend into the tropics. Ours may be the same as the Taiwan record, but I doubt the same species is in the cold part of Australia.
