Lienardia
giliberti (Souverbie in Souverbie & Montrouzier, 1874)
11.4mm
Lienardia
giliberti is an unmistakable species. It is uncommon
to moderately rare at Kwajalein.
It has been found under rocks and in rubble, rarely in sand, on seaward,
lagoon and pinnacle reefs.
It is no wonder these little shells
hide under rocks during the day. We spooked the fish so he did not get a meal
this time around.
The first specimen below measured 8.75mm.
