Lienardia rubida (Hinds, 1843)
12.9mm

Lienardia rubida is uncommon at Kwajalein. It has been found under rocks from the intertidal down to about 20m primarily on the seaward reef.

The dark line between shell whorls seems to vary in color and thickness.

This shell looked empty.

Until a small hermit crab (Calcinus latens) popped out.

The first specimen below measured 10.45mm.
