These fish were photographed in the Solomon Islands on two trips in 1987 and 1994. All photos were taken on film with a Nikonos camera. For most of our Solomons dives, I was using extension tubes and framers, which (to say the least) tend to not be conducive to fish photography. Further, most film was being saved for sea slugs, so the opportunities to photograph fish were limited. For a few dives, the standard Nikonos 35mm lens, sometimes with an external wet Microlens III diopter was used, allowing for most of these fish photos.
