Halimeda cf incrassata (J. Ellis) J.V. Lamouroux, 1816

What appears to be Halimeda incrassata makes up a large part of lagoon algae patches. It anchors itsef into the sand, loosely cementing the sand together. Below, wave action has washed away some of the nearby sand, leaving mounds holding up the Halimeda plants.
