Neogoniolithon brassica-florida (Harvey) Setchell & L.R.Mason, 1943

This looks similar to the loose balls we are calling Hydrolithon gardineri, but this one grows in larger masses that appear to grow around and engulf nearby corals. This one was photographed on a lagoon pinnacle about halfway up the west reef of Kwajalein Atoll.
