Phymanthus loligo is a relatively small, variably colored anemone that lies flat on the bottom with its stalk and base down in the sand. It is found on a range of lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs. Specimens are typically solitary and up to about 15cm in diameter. The ID is somewhat tentative.
