Lepas anserifera Linnaeus, 1767

Several of these gooseneck barnacle species look similar, but we think this one is Lepas anserifera although it looks as though the clump in the first three photos may also contain Lepas indica. They are found on floating debris that washes ashore, on pier pilings and floating docks, and on the lines and subsurface buoys marking lagoon shipwrecks.
