Marshall Islands Bigeyes (Priacanthidae)

The Priacanthidae includes only two species currently known from Kwajalein. Both are nocturnal, hovering in or near holes in the reef or gathering in sometimes large schools during the day and dispersing at night to feed. They are capable of changing colors rapidly. Unless otherwise noted, sizes given are maximum sizes for the species listed in Fishbase, not necessarily the size of the figured specimen.
