Chaetodon lunulatus Quoy & Gaimard, 1824
Oval or Redfin butterflyfish, 14cm

This species is common, particularly on lagoon and pinnacle reefs, but it is often seen on seaward reefs as well. They are usually in pairs and feed only upon coral polyps.
