Phyllodiscus semoni

This anemone was first observed on the seaward side of Lone Palm Island on 12 October 2010, but only in a video clip. While reviewing video of a couple of colorful clams shot that day, we noticed the anemone right next to them. Fortunately, we remembered it was near an easily recognized structure, so when we returned a month later, we were able to locate the clams and the anemone, all still in the same position. Even looking right at it, it was hard to tell it was an anemone and not just a clump of algae.
