Lobophyllia hemprichii (Ehrenberg, 1834)

Lobophyllia hemprichii is common on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs at Kwajalein. It resembles L. corymbosa but its corallites are more distinctly separated by deep grooves and it is a more solid coral, not easily breaking into individual stalks.

Some colonies bleached out during the long 2016 bleaching event in the Marshalls.
