Pocillopora verrucosa (Ellis & Solander, 1786)

P. verrucosa is similar to P. meandrina but with branch ends that tend to be roughly similar in size and a bit more of a bumpier look. Some form clusters of irregular, meandering colonies that are often not attached to the substrate on some lagoon reefs and on the shallow tops of lagoon pinnacles in calm areas. Other colonies are small and attached, much like those of P. meandrina.
