Iciligorgia cf rubra (Kölliker, 1870)

With its red flattened branches, white polyps and longitudinal groove along the branches, this species resembles some descriptions of Iciligorgia, although the ID is not confirmed. This forms fan-shaped colonies up to about a meter in diameter, usually on the seaward slope. The photos below may not all represent the same species. Some of the closeups could be the one we are calling Subergorgia suberosa.
