Holothuria hilla species complex
175mm

Holothuria hilla has been determined to be a complex of at least four similiar but distinct species. At this point, we are not sure which one our animals represent or if this variety even yet has a name so we refer to it as H. hilla. This is an abundant species in a variety of habitats, but particularly in lagoon Halimeda patches.

This one seems to be shedding its outer layer of skin.

We found one that had crawled through an abandoned worm tube.
