Animals like these are generally figured as Stichopus horrens. However, studies of DNA and morphology indicate that there is a complex of species, both under the same name and also including species such as S. monotoberculatus and S. naso. Further work needs to be done on these variations throughout their ranges. At Kwajalein, these are common under rocks or exposed on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs.
These appear to be juveniles.
