Stegastes punctatus (Quoy & Gaimard, 1825)
Bluesnout gregory

Like other species of Stegastes, these territorial damsels aggressively defend patches of algae. These individuals, apparently showing some aggression, were found and photographed by Christina Sylvester in one of the Kwajalein reef quarries. Maximum reported size is about 13cm.

The next identification is somewhat questionable, but it could be a young specimen of Stegastes punctatus. The photo was taken by Christina Sylvester off Kwajalein.
