Gymnothorax fimbriatus (Bennett, 1832)
Fimbriated moray, 80cm

These are rather common under rocks and in caves on lagoon and seaward reefs. It can often be seen out hunting fish at night. Its long jaws, sharp teeth and wide open mount make it look more aggressive than most.

The individual below, photographed in the Philippines, has some commensal copepods on its lower jaw.
