Miniacina miniacea (Pallas, 1766)

This hard, red, pointy species grows in small clumps commonly in holes and under rocks, and is also frequently found cemented to the shells of living and dead gastropod mollusks. Whatever it uses to cement itself to shells is extremely effective; it is almost impossible to remove this foram from a mollusk shell without some sort of electric grinding tool.
