Mulloidichthys flavolineatus (Lacepède, 1801)
Yellowstripe goatfish, 43cm

These are commonly seen in small groups feeding in sand on seaward and lagoon reefs. The figured individuals are all small, but they are reported to reach at least 43cm. Larger specimens usually have an often faint longitudinal yellow stripe down each side.
