Bandtail goatfish

These live in shallow lagoon habitats. The photo was taken by Christina Sylvester in the shallows along the north end of Kwajalein Island. We have seen these on a several occasions in small groups on shallow sand and algae near the boat ramp in Kwajalein harbor, but never had a camera along. These are reported to reach at least 25cm.
