Amblyeleotris wheeleri (Polunin & Lubbock, 1977)
Gorgeous shrimpgoby, 10cm

This species is not very common, but has been seen on lagoon reefs and pinnacles mostly up in the middle part of Kwajalein Atoll. They usually possess dark bands on the body with orange and red spots on the head and neck and smaller blue spots down the back and sides. We have seen these with the yellow shimp goby sometimes referred to as Alpheus ochrostriatus.
