Paracirrhites forsteri (Schneider, 1801)
Blackside hawkfish, 22cm

Paracirrhites forsteri is very common at Kwajalein on a variety of lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs. They are usually seen perched on coral or rocks and are generally easy to approach. In comes in several different color forms.
