Gonodactylaceus falcatus (Forskål, 1775)
70mm

The animals on this page may represent more than one species. At least 8 different specimens are figured, and nearly all were found in lagoon patches of Halimeda algae and branching corals on sand at 8 to 15m in Kwajalein Atoll. One was on the intertidal reef at low tide. This is a smashing stomatopod and uses its hardened raptorial appendages to crush and disable crabs or even break mollusk shells.

This small individual may be something different.
