Gerres longirostris (Lacepède, 1801)
Strongespine silver-biddy, 44.5cm

These silvery fish form small to large schools in shallow lagoon waters and are reported to reach a maximum size of about 44cm, although 20-25cm (like these specimens) is more typical of adults. The photos were taken by Christina Sylvester on the lagoonside of Kwajalein Island.
