These variable worms are usually found on a variety of different sea cucumber species, and the worm color usually is a good match to the host. The first two photos show the worms on Bohadschia argus.

The next few photos show the worms on Thelenota ananas. The first shot has it on the side of the sea cucumber, but usually they are on the bottom among the tube feet, further hiding them from passing predators.

The next couple are on Pearsonothuria graeffei.

On Euapta godeffroyi.

Sometimes the worms can also be found under rocks.
