Pseudochromis sp. 1
Dottyback

Like other Pseudochromis species, this one is usually seen in dark ledges and caves on lagoon and seaward reefs. We usually get only brief glimpses of them as they dart in and out of holes, and nearly always retreat from focusing or video lights. These photos are by Stan Jazwinski and Jay Lord.
