Spotted boxfish, 25cm

This boxfish is moderately uncommon. They are usually seen on seaward reefs and pinnacles, and tend to hide under coral when divers come blundering along. Females and juveniles are mostly dark gray to black with white spots, while the adult males develop blue along the sides with orange spots.
