Latreutes bicornis (Kemp, 1925)
10mm

These tiny shrimp measured about 10mm and were in Halimeda algae on a Kwajalein Atoll lagoon reef. Four different individuals are figured below, three basically brown in color and the other blue. We suspect they are color variants of the same species, but this has not been confirmed by close examination of specimens. This shrimp has been figured on web sites under the name Paralatreutes bicornis, but a recent review by Wicksten & Hancock (2021) places it in Latreutes.
