This tiny, bizarre shrimp has been found under rocks on Kwajalein Atoll lagoon reefs. There are two species in the genus, L. dolichsternum from Japan (the Ryukyu Islands) and L. nhatrangensis from southeastern Vietnam. While ours does not exactly match either in pattern, it is closer to L. dolichsternum.
