Phycocaris simulans Kemp, 1916
8mm

This looks like the standard hairy shrimp, Phycocaris simulans. These are very small and difficult to see in their typical algae or rubble habitat. We have come across only a few specimens at Kwajalein, mostly along lagoon reefs and algae patches.
