Thor amboinensis (de Man, 1888)
15mm

Thor amboinensis is common at Kwajalein, usually in the vicinity of large sea anemones or sometimes the sea cucumber Thelenota ananas. Usually when you see them, there are several in close proximity. These have sometimes been called the popcorn shrimp because of their habit of continually twitching their tail up and down.
