Sargocentron diadema (Lacepède, 1802)
Crown squirrelfish, 17cm

The reddish black to black dorsal fin, not well seen in the photos below, is characteristic of this species. Also, the longitudinal red bands are mostly about three times the width of the intervening white lines. These live in holes in the reef by day, emerging at night to feed.
