Sargocentron punctatissimum (Günther, 1859)
Peppered or Speckled squirrelfish, 23cm

These small squirrelfish live among branches of coral and under rocks in shallow water during the day, emerging at night to feed. They can often be seen on the intertidal reef in tidepools. This one was photographed by Christina Sylvester in one of the Kwajalein reef quarries. A typical size is about 10cm.
