Yellowband wrasse, 12cm

This wrasse is common on some lagoon patch reefs and pinnacles, where it forms schools at the edges of the reef, feeding on plankton up in the water column.

This is apparently the subterminal male form, photographed by Jay Lord on Kwajalein Atoll's eastern lagoon reef.
