Stethojulis bandanensis (Bleeker, 1851)
Redshoulder wrasse, 15cm

This species is common on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs. A single male usually has a harum of females. Like many wrasses, these seem to never stop swimming, making them a difficult target for a camera. The first two photos show the pinstriped males.

The mostly gray individuals are the females.
