Thalassoma jansenii (Bleeker, 1856)
Jansen's wrasse, 20cm

This appears to be a rare or mostly shallow water species at Kwajalein. The adult in the first photo was found by Stan Jazwinski in less than a meter of water off the north tip of Kwajalein Island.

Both younger individuals were found and photographed by Jay Lord, the first on the lagoon side of the northeast tip of Kwajalein Island and the second in about 5m of water off the southern tip of Ennubuj Island.
