Toxopneustes pileolus (Lamarck, 1816)

These were commonly seen on sand and rubble in shallow water at sites such as Mainit and Saimsim. The large, round pedicellaria are actually three-pointed jaws that can deliver a toxic bite.

They often gather hold rocks, shells or pieces of trash over themselves for camouflage.

Carrying a plastic bag.
