Much of the radar day-to-day work consists of tracking orbiting satellites to help maintain a catalog of where things are up there. They also are instrumental in locating newly launched foreign and domestic satellites to determine initial orbits. The four big Roi radars are, in order below, Altair, Alcor, the Millimeter Wave radar, and Tradex.

There are also telemetry and optics sites on several Kwajalein Atoll islands.

On the right side of the island below is an elongate green patch on the shallow reef. Reef rock was dug out of this quarry for use in construction on the island. These man-made tidepools are present in several places around the atoll, and are interesting habitats for various kinds of marine life.
