We have seen these small dorids around several of the Channel Islands. The first pair is from Santa Cruz.

The next specimen below was photographed in shallow water off Mission Bay, San Diego. The following four were off Santa Rosa Island, where many specimens were observed feeding on their calcareous sponge prey on 3 August 1986.

Several more were observed at Santa Cruz on 4 February 2018.

Two more from Santa Cruz Island on 27 November 2021.
