We saw several of these in shallow
water at Tulamben. Most were in rocky reefs, but the one pictured below was
exposed on a black sandy slope at Pura Segara. We saw it on both day and night
dives at this spot in June 2014.
This shell had a rough patch.
Interestingly, on a subsequent trip in November 2014, we saw a different Cypraea
tigris (below) in nearly the same spot that the one above had been five
months earlier.
The one below was in a rocky ledge
at night at Melasti.
