Cypraea tigris Linnaeus,
1758
Tiger cowry, 95mm
Cypraea tigris were seen
at many locations throughout the Solomons. We also have photographed tigers
in the Marshall Islands
and in Hawaii.

Both in the Solomons and in the Marshall Islands, specimens are occasionally
seen at night eating an exposed jet black sponge.
