Mitra mitra
(Linnaeus, 1758)
154.0mm
Mitra
mitra is very
common at Kwajalein, living in sand on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs at
depths of 2 to at least 30m. By day and night they are buried in the sand, their
presence indicated only by the trail they leave when plowing through the sand.
However, they do deposit their egg capsules beneath rocks.
