Chicoreus ingridmariae Houart, 2010

Chicoreus ingridmariae is rare worldwide. It was described based on a single specimen collected at about 60m depth in Indonesia. Four specimens are known from Kwajalein, all from the steep seaward reef at depths of about 61m, and one more from the seaward reef at Pohnpei. Only one specimen, the one photographed below, was living when observed. It was found crawling below a ledge at night on 4 May 1991.
